Thank you for reading, Juliet, and for visiting my shop! I am happy you like my pots :)
Sciatica is a very bad thing - I have never been in so much pain for so long and yet, yes, I hear that in fact most people have it for much longer periods. So I now consider myself lucky and hope never to have it again. I hope your partner doesn't either.
The kitten... yes, he is doing very well. I had to say goodbye to him today as I will be flying back home on Wednesday. He will stay in the care of my parents, but still... it was not easy. I keep thinking he must feel like he was abandoned again... it breaks my heart.
Such a lovely letter Sara. I enjoyed reading so much. I have had sciatic pain before but nothing so severe as you describe, and I am glad that you are now recovered. It warms my heart to think of the little kitten you have rescued, I’m intrigued to know if you chose a name for him? 💛
Yes, we did! My first suggestion of Mr. Black, was summarily rejected (no one gets my sense of humour 🙄) but then I noticed he had some faint orange rings around his tiny tail, so we called him "Riscas" (Stripes, in English). I think it suits him, although, as Vanessa noted, "Snow Leopard" (as on the hoodie I am wearing in the pictures) would have been perfect for him too! 🤣
What a lovely post Clara, it makes me think of the John Lennon quote “Life is what happens when you’re making other plans” and is something I often feel! The good thing is pottery will wait, though a kitten can’t and I’m sure you won’t ever regret being his rescuer. What did you make him? I loved that your top had ‘snow leopard’ written on it in homage to the small white feline on your shoulder! Xx
Ha! That's funny, I never even noticed it! "Snow Leopard" would be a great name for him, actually!
We actually named him "Riscas" (Stripes, in Portuguese), because his tail had what it looked like faint orange stripes (I wanted to call him Mr. Black, but no one appreciated my irony...).
Thanks so much for including me, Sara! You've got quite a lot going on at the moment! 🤣 It's lovely to hear about how you're balancing it all. Sciatica is terrible - my husband suffered with it for a long time until it suddenly resolved. I definitely wish you no further episodes, too 💕
Thank you for reading, Sydney! I am currently on holiday trying to get over it all... The sciatica I will need to tackle with exercise - I hate exercise. But I hate the pain more, so it's a no brainer. Glad your husband's resolved.
Take care!
Oh by the way, your daughter's photographs are amazing! I love seeing them on Notes!
The kitten seemed to thrive with your care!
My partner had sciatica and he was off work for several weeks, glad you recovered so well.
I had a look at your Etsy shop, your products are lovely!

It must have been difficult to say goodbye to the kitten!
Hope you never get sciatica again, it's horrible I know.

Oh I love Mr Black!! But I also like Riscas, he looks so contented perched on your shoulder 💛💛
That looks like a very grateful kitten. Well done, you 💗
Thank you, Chloe!

Gostei Muito! É mesmo assim, não se pode fazer planos. Á portuguesa é o "logo se vê" ......
Beijinhos.
