your post is authentic and delightful. Love the natural look of your garden. I’ve tried to do the same with my front yard, spreading tons of seeds and soil, but it wasn’t very successful. I’ve kept the backyard as my wild garden lab, and surprisingly, it’s doing well!

Also, I love the earthy tones of those mug sets—beautiful sand and forest colors!

Thank you, Bree!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the front garden...

Let's see how the mugs turn out. Because I've been out of service practically the whole week (sciatic nerve pain that knocked me out), I have not been able to fire them and won't before going to Portugal, unfortunately. I will only be able to finish them in August...

Sara, your reflections are so inspiring! They remind me of the resilience of untamed spaces and the charm of imperfect creations. It's so amazing how your garden has grown so much. Keep nurturing these spaces where subtle magic unfolds!

Thank you for reading!

I must admit, though, that your comment about how much the garden has grown is intriguing 🤔 It sounds as if you saw my garden before, which is highly unlikely, I realise that... Or maybe I misunderstood?

I do love the expressions "untamed spaces" and "charm of imperfect creations", they bring to my mind the concept of wabi sabi, which I am happy to associate with my wild back garden and definitely untamed forest.

I love this so much Sara! I enjoyed reading of your garden exploits and seeing all the real and not just the highlight reel... I have read Big Magic again and again. I only came to read it for the first time last year, but it has made such a difference to my joy in creating. I hope that the market picks up for you, it can be so disheartening, I look forward to hearing more. Reading posts like that that are from the heart, authentic and honest are my favourite. I think you should fire the bowl - I like that it's a bit wonky. Wonky and imperfect is like us! And I'm so honoured to see my little Human Intelligence sticker here - thank you for using it 💛💛💛

Thank you, Emily! ☺️ I love your sticker!

I am hoping to do better on Sunday... I also have some pieces on sale in a local café and yesterday I sold the two beakers I mention in the post (not the espresso ones, but the ones you can see on Instagram, the larger versions, let's say) and that felt good.

I will fire the bowl. Unfortunately, I have been unable to move for days with sciatic nerve pain so I missed the window to be able to finish the two firings before going to Portugal. Everything got postponed to August. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Gosto muito de ler os teus textos e já estava a sentir falta.

Sobre a taça - sabes bem que adoro as taças que fazes - penso que deves concluir todo o processo e terminá-la. Pela "amostra" tenho a certeza que ficará linda.
