And I have to add that I feel like we only scratched the surface, and I am not talking about sgraffito! Your collections - each deserves an in-depth interview on their own!

You are very welcome, Elisabetta! It's great to have connected with you.

I am always eager to talk clay and find out about how others work - it's fascinating to see how much or how little we have in common, and that, no matter how different our work might be we potters all share a love for clay that maybe can be equated to a love of words in the case of writers. I may be wrong but it seems to me that, say, painters don't have the same kind of relationship with canvas or paints...

In any case, it was great to read your answers and find out more about your work - thank you for agreeing to take part, Elisabetta!

Thank you for reading, Jan!

Elisabetta's pots are truly unique and the science behind them is fascinating! Her Moonscape collection, for example: vases and bowls inspired by the surface of the moon and glazed with lava glazes!
