This was a very informative and interesting read and I am so sorry to hear of your terrible suffering π I'm so glad that it has finally passed and I hope you won't have to feel that bad again, poor you. I do suffer with migraines, but luckily not too often. I once had a hemiplegic migraine and the whole left side of my body went numb.. we called an ambulance as we thought I was having a stroke, it was so frightening! I was in hospital for two days and thankfully I regained full functionality ππ Migraines are most certainly NOT headaches! It's tricky for people to understand if they've never had one, so raising awareness is important π Thank you Sara π
Thankfully, I have been able to stop the last one in its track - I am always grateful when I manage to take the medication at the right time. Your experience sounds terrifying, Eva, and I hope you won't go through it ever again. It brings things into perspective, really - next time my migraine catches me unaware, I will remember what you went through and how it could be much much worse. Thank you, Eva!π
You poor, poor thing, what a week of it! I hardly dare confess that I rarely experience a headache, never mind a migraine, but I surely know plenty who do and appreciate how horrid it is π£xx
Sending hugs π I had one migraine which also included vomiting in my tent that I was on holiday in! It was the most painful thing I have ever felt in my life. In the last year I had a series of cluster style headaches. They were the second most painful thing I have ever felt in my life. Praying both kinds of headache stay away and feel so much for those who deal with them regularly as a result.
Not having the misfortune of suffering from a migraine, I found this account very powerful and sympathetic. I feel like not describing the pain too much is more effectiveβlike how much scarier Jaws is because we only catch partial and infrequent glimpses of the shark.
Mine are exactly the same but without the nausea (for most of the time at least), and generally not too bad but ever present. I feel for you!! Sumatriptan was delicious and wonderful but I only got 6 pills at a time and having one attack lasting 3 days once a week, it was pointless to go to the pharmacy that often. It made me super sleepy and weirdly giggly, too, so not always fit for work days either. Sorry to hear about your tooth - hope everything will turn out okay in the end!
Thank you, Jane! It sounds like you have it worse than me even, at least more often. I'm sorry! Migraines are super debilitating and so little understood. About my tooth - three more visits to the dentist should fix it...
And... reading your comment I realised I wrote the name of the medicine wrong (I actually wrote it in Polish...), so fixed now to sumatriptan, thank you! :)

That's good, Vanessa, and may they become rarer still - migraines especially are indeed horrid.
